Melt pumps for rubber extrusion lines
The melt pump in a rubber extrusion line plays a vital role. It is a positive displacement conveying device, mainly used for rubber melt conveying, pressurizing, stabilizing and dosing. Melt pump through its internal active gear and driven gear meshing with each other, forming a closed working volume, with the rotation of the gear to achieve the melt inhalation, conveying and discharging.
During the rubber extrusion process, the melt pump is able to stabilize the pressure and flow rate of the volume, which is superior to all types of extruders. It effectively blocks the pressure fluctuation and flow fluctuation in the feeding area from influencing the discharging area, so that the pressure and flow fluctuation at the outlet of the pump are controlled within a very small range, thus realizing stable extrusion, improving the dimensional accuracy of the extruded products and reducing the scrap rate.
In addition, the melt pump can also improve production efficiency by adjusting the pump speed to achieve precise flow control and optimize the performance of the extruder. It also extends the life of the extruder, reduces extruder effort such as pressure and torque, and brings significant economic benefits to the intersecting extrusion line by reducing energy consumption and increasing production.
